Rideau Hall is the Official Residence of the Governor General of Canada and a National Historic Site.

At the time, the arrival court faced increased pressures because it served as the main entrance to the private residence and also as the arrival place for tourists, representatives of the media, diplomats, and many other visitors. Our Master Plan realigned the driveway approach to provide better views of the main house and added an updated water feature at the centre of the arrival court as a focal point. The Plan also preserved historic trees and created an integrated architectural planting to ground the house.
