The Women’s College Hospital redevelopment project involved the construction of a new 400,000 square-foot hospital on the existing Grenville Street site in downtown Toronto.

As a sub-consultant to a larger team led by IBI Group Architects in Joint Venture with Perkins Eastman Black, JRS was responsible for Schematic Design through to Contract Administration for the landscape architecture components of the project including the entry plaza, ground-level landscape areas, and surrounding streetscape perimeter. JRS also consulted on plant material for the green roof feature on top of the pink architectural podium element. Unique landscape features of the site include a flexible entry courtyard and a contemplative garden which includes a grove of trembling aspens.

Delivery Model: DBFMO (Design-Build-Finance-Maintain-Operate)
